gradient/fade

przez watertown scholar » Wt lis 30, 2010 7:21 pm

Can anyone provide pointers about how to get an image to fade away on one side. I am trying to anchor the image on the left but want it to stretch across the screen and fade into a solid color if it is resized.

Many thanks,

You can't really code that. You need to create it in an image editing program.

GIMP is a free image editing program: http://www.gimp.org/

And here here is a guide how to create a fade effect in GIMP: http://www.brighthub.com/multimedia/pub ... 73744.aspx

All the best,

Many thanks... I got it to work :-)

Andreas I really appreciate your reply.

CSS is fun! So glad I didn't buy Dreamweaver!
