Its the new revolution in the world of HTML although very few browsers supports HTML5. It comes with new elements, attributes, CSS3 supported, 2d/3d graphics, local storage and SQL database plus web applications.

The HTML5 specification is not complete yet, and it won't be complete for some time. However, there are some stable features that you can start using right away.

For example, you can start using the new semantic mark-up and a few JavaScript enabled features like drag and drop and canvas. Mostly all major browsers (Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer 9) support a number of HTML5 and CSS3 features.

The biggest stumbling block is IE version 8 and earlier. However, there are some excellent JavaScript libraries and polyfills that enable these older browsers to handle HTML5 features.

One commonly used script is the so-called HTML5 shiv. Just dump it in the head section of your HTML in between IE conditional tags like this:

Kod: Zaznacz cały
<!--[if lt IE 9]>
<script src="http://html5shiv.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js"></script>
<![endif]-->

Now you can go ahead and use the new HTML5 tags like header, article, section, footer, etc.

atik napisał(a):Yes HTML5 is the most advance html at present. So using it will help to create more advance features in the web. W3 school gives the basic about it. So i recommend to visit it and then go further.

I am not very familiar with HTML5, but it seems really good and certainly I am going to take a look!

Hi, another good site apart from w3schools to learn HTML5 is www.thenewboston.org he adds new videos on the subject weekly and I have found them pretty cool to watch. w3schools has is the best place to learn though as they have everything you need to no whilst www.thenewboston.org is just very good for seeing how to implement all the new cool things in your site.
